Israel’s activist High Court of Justice crossed another red line last week when it halted the order to demolish the home of the terrorist who murdered IDF soldier Amit Ben Yigal in May.
This decision – which was condemned by both PM Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gantz – was the latest in a long history of political activism and judicial overreach by the court, which has taken to formulating policy rather than ruling according to the law.
In response to the decision, we organized two large protests: one outside the home of Supreme Court Justice Mazuz and one outside the home of Supreme Court President Esther Hayut.
The protests were attended by hundreds of people and videos from the protests were viewed by more than 350,000 people on social media.
