Last week, Member of Knesset Sami Abou Shahadeh (Joint List’s Balad faction) along with other representatives from the Balad party participated in a celebratory reception for a recently released terrorist who served 12 years in Israeli prison for planning to murder Israeli pilots, scientists, and soldiers.
Balad even posted photos and videos of the “celebration” on their Facebook page.
Our Arab Desk filed a police complaint and submitted a complaint to the Knesset Ethics Committee against MK Shahadeh, whose open support for terrorism is a clear violation of Israel’s 2016 Counter-Terrorism Law.
“These radical inciters belong in jail rather than in the Knesset,” said head of Im Tirtzu’s Arab Desk Tom Nisani, “and we are calling on the Knesset Ethics Committee and the police to bring down the full weight of the law on MK Shahadeh and his terror-supporting colleagues in the Joint List.”
