Last week, Tel Aviv’s Magistrates Court ruled in our favor in a libel suit we filed against Israel’s leading left-wing newspaper, Yediot Ahronot, after two of its journalists falsely accused us of fabricating a widely-publicized letter written by a group of bereaved families.
One of the newspaper’s journalists even named our spokesperson and accused him personally of falsifying the letter, which was written by members of the Choosing Life Forum of Bereaved Families that we have been accompanying since its founding.
The journalists never even asked for our response on the matter, and after the false allegations were published against us, refused to issue a retraction.
After exhausting all other options, we filed a libel suit against them and won.
