Happy Tu B’av!
Today is Tu B’av, the Jewish holiday of love, which dates back to the Second Temple period when unmarried women would celebrate the grape harvest by going out to the fields dressed in white in order to find their match.
According to the Mishna, Tu B’av is one of the happiest days of the year on the Jewish calendar.
We are happy to say that over the years, there have been a number of Im Tirtzu weddings between activists who met in the movement, and there are even many “Im Tirtzu babies!”
