Im Tirtzu is a centrist extra-parliamentary movement that strives to strengthen the values of Zionism in Israel and to renew and reinstate Zionist discourse, thinking and ideology in order to secure the future of the Jewish people and the State of Israel and strengthen Israeli society in the challenges it faces. Im Tirtzu is committed to leading and advancing a second Zionist revolution on all levels of the Israeli public discourse: intellectual, cultural, media and political.

Im Tirtzu is the only movement that engages in public advocacy on behalf of the State of Israel and of Zionism on Israeli campuses, based on the recognition and understanding that the student population must necessarily constitute the major vehicle of Zionist renewal.

The Im Tirtzu movement is founded on three major principles:

1. The Renewal of Political Zionism: focusing on consciousness as the creator and generator of existence.

Im Tirtzu believes that the national will and faith in the justice and righteousness of the Zionist enterprise are the most important assets of the Jewish people and the State of Israel, assets that have gradually eroded in recent years. Therefore, Im Tirtzu focuses its activities mainly on the level of awareness and promotes a resolute values-based Zionist advocacy on various Israeli university campuses in particular and within the broader Israeli public, in general. We regard the younger generation, and especially the university student population, as key to the future of the Jewish people and the State of Israel, and we believe it is the duty and responsibility of this community to lead Israeli society.

2. Responding to Post Zionist and Anti-Zionist expressions on campuses in particular and within the broader Israeli public.

Regrettably, in recent years, anti-Zionist trends have been proliferating in Israeli universities, which have gradually displaced, marginalized and excluded the Zionist discourse, preventing Zionists from making their voices heard. For the past three years, Im Tirtzu has been the only entity that has responded against the spread of post-Zionist and anti-Zionist currents among the faculty and student body in Israeli universities.

This proliferation of post-Zionist trends is not unique to the universities. The Israeli public discourse as reflected in the media and in politics and culture has for a long time been characterized by a sense of loss of both purpose and values. Regrettably, Israel's difficult circumstances on the international arena stem mainly from activities of Israeli organizations and persons who have spearheaded anti-Israeli propaganda. Im Tirtzu is currently the main entity that provides a response to the mudslinging, the lies and the incitement against Israel that is being waged within Israel itself.

3. A Centrist Political Movement

Im Tirtzu was established as a centrist movement in order to consolidate a new ideological axis that will ensure a balance in safeguarding all of Israel's crucial interests. We believe that the best way to safeguard the future of the Zionist enterprise is to consolidate an overall Zionist strategy that will take into account the national and historic importance of regions of the homeland, Israel's crucial security interests, the demographic issue, the cohesion of the Jewish public and the Jewish-democratic character of the State of Israel.
